Filaments Engineered to Meet Your Requirements

We offer a carefully selected range of filaments tailored for engineering specific applications.

As specialists in the production of high performance 3D printed parts for engineering use, we prioritise quality, dimensional accuracy, and material consistency in every print. To uphold these standards, we’ve partnered with eSUN Filaments as our preferred supplier. After extensive testing and optimisation, our printers are finely tuned for eSUN materials, ensuring exceptional results across every project.

To simplify your selection process, we’ve categorised our filament offerings into three key groups:

Plastics, Carbon Composites, and Rubbers.

PLASTICS

  1. PLA (Polylactic Acid): PLA is a biodegradable, affordable, and widely accessible plastic—ideal for hobbyists and non-functional parts. While it’s commonly used in 3D printing, its low resistance to heat, UV exposure, and chemicals makes it suitable primarily for prototyping in engineering environments.
  2. PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol): PETG is our most frequently used filament. It offers excellent impact resistance, flexibility, and chemical durability, making it a robust all-rounder for both general and light engineering applications. Cost-effective and easy to print with, it strikes the perfect balance between strength and versatility.
  3. PA12 (Nylon 12): The toughest plastic in our lineup, PA12 delivers exceptional impact resistance, heat and chemical tolerance, and self-lubricating properties. This high-performance material is ideal for producing long-lasting, durable components used in demanding environments.

CARBON COMPOSITES

Carbon fiber composites are created by reinforcing base plastics with approximately 20% milled carbon fiber. This significantly enhances the rigidity, strength, and thermal stability of the material—often approaching the performance of metal while remaining extremely lightweight:

  1. PETG-CF (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol x CF): By adding carbon fiber to PETG, this composite improves upon the already versatile base material—offering greater stiffness and strength while maintaining ease of use.
  2. ABS-CF (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene x CF): ABS-CF provides similar mechanical benefits as PETG-CF but with improved temperature and UV resistance. Commonly found in automotive applications, it’s a solid choice for impact-resistant, heat-tolerant components.
  3. PA12-CF (Nylon x CF): The strongest filament we offer, PA12-CF excels in applications demanding maximum durability, heat resistance, and chemical resilience. This material is ideal for functional, load-bearing mechanical parts where performance is critical.

RUBBERS

Flexible filament printing is a breakthrough in additive manufacturing, enabling the creation of durable rubber-like parts with complex geometries. While it requires precise calibration and specialised equipment, the resulting parts offer impressive elasticity, shock absorption, and resistance to chemicals, oils, and abrasion.

  1. TPE  83A (Thermoplastic Elastomer):TPE 83A is our softest flexible filament, offering a smooth touch and high elasticity. With a Shore hardness of 83A, it’s ideal for applications requiring frequent hand contact or comfort, such as tool grips, camera mounts, and wearable components. However, it’s not recommended for high-heat or chemically aggressive environments.
  2. TPU 95A (Thermoplastic Polyurethane): TPU 95A is a firmer, more durable rubber with a Shore hardness of 95A. It provides excellent flexibility with structural integrity, making it well-suited for shock mounts, protective covers, seals, and industrial-grade elastic parts that need to retain their shape under stress.
